One of the most difficult things for a new player to learn is how to formulate an ‘optimal strategy’ for blackjack. The reason why this is so important is that the profitability of any hand depends on meeting the dealer’s expectations. This is very different from other forms of gambling where the outcome is based purely on chance or luck. However, if we can learn how to formulate a blackjack optimal strategy then it is possible to earn more money than we ever expected.

How To Develop Your Optimal Blackjack Strategy

We will be discussing three basic strategies which are necessary in any game of blackjack. These are known as the four-suit, three-suit and two-suit holdem styles. There is another style known as Caribbean stud. However, for our purposes we will be dealing with the basic strategy of playing one card at a time, or betting on cards that have already been dealt. Of course, the optimal strategy for each individual game will be slightly different because of variations between different casinos and card decks. However, by learning the basics we can move onto more complicated games and develop our own style.

The first step in the basic strategy is to always bet in the same colour. This will decrease your chances of being dealt a hand containing a hold or flush. In addition, if you are playing a holdem game where the flop is not a valuable position to play, then it would be wise to bet according to the cards already in your hand.

Another important step in the strategy is to determine your starting hand. Although it might seem counter intuitive, it is usually better to bet starting hands. The reason for this is that it increases your chances of hitting a flush or a full house. Some us players also like to bet starting hands because it helps us determine the optimum amount we should bet, which in this case is our maximum amount that we will raise to make a strong bet.

Once you have chosen your starting hand, you now need to determine how much you are willing to risk. In this case, it is important that we consider the fact that we are betting a minimum of the current pot. As stated before, when the flop comes with a premium position, it is usually better to fold because there is a good possibility you will not hit the minimum. Therefore, calculating your risk factors is very important and is one of the most critical aspects of any blackjack strategy.

Lastly, you must know that an optimal strategy for Texas Holdem is not necessarily the same for other games. Therefore, there will be a lot of variation between optimal strategies. You must keep in mind that the best strategies are the ones that work for you. There is no such thing as a blackjack card counting strategy that will work for everyone. Each person is unique and therefore must find his own way to win. Therefore, by playing a little bit of research, you should be able to find the right blend of strategies to maximize your bankroll.
